Description
The portable powder fire extinguisher, type P1, 1kg, is a permanently pressurized extinguisher loaded with 1 kg of dry chemical powder ABC 40, designed for extinguishing incipient fires in various categories. It can be used for:
• fires involving solid materials – fire class A;
• fires involving liquids or liquefiable solids – fire class B;
• fires involving gases – fire class C;
• fires involving electrical installations and equipment under voltage, up to 1000 V.
Attention: powder extinguishers must not be used on electrical equipment with relays or dust-sensitive contacts.
Components:
• welded steel sheet cylinder;
• discharge system;
• valve;
• discharge hose;
• pressure gauge for reading internal pressure.
Technical specifications:
• working pressure: 15 bar (indicated on the pressure gauge);
• test pressure: 27 bar;
• extinguishing agent: dry chemical powder ABC 40;
• propellant gas: nitrogen;
• charge mass: 1 kg powder;
• charge validity: 5 years;
• extinguishing capacity: 5A/21BC;
• operating temperature: -30°C / +60°C;
• discharge device: discharge nozzle.
Operating instructions:
The portable P1 extinguisher must be used in an upright position, following the instructions printed on the adhesive label.
• direct the hose towards the base of the fire;
• pull the safety pin, breaking the seal;
• press the valve trigger handle.
As a permanently pressurized extinguisher, discharge starts within 1 second from activation. The trigger system allows discharge interruption, enabling use on another nearby fire without loss of pressure.
Operating conditions:
• the extinguisher is functional only if the seal is intact and the pressure gauge needle is in the green zone;
• if the pressure gauge needle is below the permissible limit, the valve must not be dismantled by the user;
• after use, extinguishers must be recharged by authorized service units.
Maintenance:
The owner is required to periodically check:
• the condition of the seal;
• the internal pressure, read directly on the gauge;
• the external condition of the extinguisher;
• the label condition.
Safety instructions:
• never direct the discharge jet towards people;
• do not dismantle the extinguisher while pressurized;
• do not store without safety pin and seal in place;
• if the pressure gauge indicates low pressure, do not dismantle the valve.
Both the extinguisher and the powder charge are environmentally safe when used for their intended purpose.
Storage and transport:
Portable extinguishers must be stored in closed, ventilated areas within the specified temperature range, ensuring readiness for use at any time. Personnel working in fire risk areas must be trained according to the instructions on the product label. Packaging ensures product integrity during transport, which is carried out with regular transport means. Specifications
