FarmactiveAg is a sterile, advanced wound dressing with calcium alginate and silver, designed for the effective treatment of moderate to heavily exuding wounds. Made from high-quality non-woven material, it contains high-manuronic acid alginate, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), and silver carbonate, which release silver ions upon contact with wound exudate, offering antimicrobial protection for up to 7 days and helping reduce wound odor. As the exudate is absorbed, the dressing forms a gel that: • promotes autolytic debridement; • maintains an optimal moist healing environment; • allows painless removal without damaging healing tissue. Recommended for the treatment of: • post-surgical and traumatic wounds (abrasions, incisions); • venous or arterial ulcers; • diabetic ulcers and pressure sores; • superficial to moderate burns; • skin grafts and donor sites; • cavity wounds. Due to its alginate content, FarmactiveAg can also help control minor bleeding and may be used under compression bandages. Important: Use on infected wounds or wounds at risk of infection only under medical supervision. For external use only. Contraindications: • dry wounds or wounds with minimal exudate; • known hypersensitivity to alginate; • severe bleeding; • severe burns; • surgical implant use. How to use: Apply directly to the wound bed after cleansing and irrigation. Cut to size with sterile scissors. Cover with a non-occlusive secondary dressing.
