Medical Cohesive Bandages

Cohesive Bandage for Controlled Fixation and Practical Protection in Medical Practice

When you need fixation without adhesive applied directly to the skin, a cohesive bandage is wrapped around the area and adheres to itself. The PRIMA range from Vetro Design includes different widths and models, suitable for medical, sports, or veterinary applications.

The material consists of 95% non-woven material and 5% spandex, with a maximum stretch of 150%. Cohesive bandages do not adhere to skin or hair, do not slip easily, and maintain the applied tension. You can choose widths of 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, or 15 cm, depending on the area to be covered.

Cohesive Bandages for Secure Fixation: What to Check Before Application

The width, elasticity, and application method determine how the bandage covers the area. Check each factor before use:

  • The right width: 2.5 cm is suitable for small areas, while 5, 7.5, 10, and 15 cm widths are suitable for larger surfaces.
  • Elastic material: The combination of non-woven material and spandex allows stretching of up to 150% without adhering to skin or hair.
  • Application: Wrap evenly without excessive tension and check the circulation in the area. For proper use, follow the instructions of medical professionals.

For basic wound dressing, you can combine the bandage with sterile gauze. When you need another form of support, you can use elastic bandages, while following the recommended application method.

How do you choose the width of a cohesive bandage for the application area?

For small areas, use 2.5 cm; for medium-sized areas, use 5 or 7.5 cm; and for larger surfaces, use 10 or 15 cm. Apply without excessive tightness.
