Dermatoscope with Halogen Bulb, 10x, Ø25 mm

The dermatoscope with halogen bulb is designed for the examination and evaluation of pigmented skin lesions, using a 10x optical magnification system and a 2.5 V xenon/halogen lamp. The optical system allows the skin surface to be viewed through the contact plate, while the graduated contact plate can be used to measure pigmented skin lesions. The dermatoscope has a 25 mm focal length and a +/- 5D focusing range for image adjustment during examination.

The dermatoscope features a reliable bayonet locking system for attaching the dermatoscope head to the handle and autoclavable contact plates. Light intensity can be adjusted using the control knob on the handle. The complete unit is supplied in a zipper case with a vacuum-formed interior for organized storage of the components.

Instructions for Use:
• Install two 1.5 V type C batteries in the handle according to the battery replacement procedure. Alkaline batteries are recommended for use.
• Position the dermatoscope head over the handle by aligning the slots with those on the handle, then push down and rotate clockwise until the head is locked in place.
• To switch the unit on, press the white button on the handle and turn the black control knob to the left. Light intensity can be adjusted by rotating the knob clockwise or counterclockwise.
• Gently place the contact plate on the lesion, positioning the lesion in the center of the contact plate. To reduce glare from the stratum corneum, mineral oil, petroleum jelly, or another product specified in the instructions for use may be applied.
• Look through the optical system and adjust the focus using the rubber focusing ring until the required image is obtained.
• Use the graduated contact plate when measuring pigmented skin lesions.
• After use, switch the unit off by turning the black control knob to the right until it reaches the OFF position and a click is heard.
