PRIMA Sodium Acid Phosphate Enema, 120 ml, with Rectal Applicator, for Constipation

Sodium phosphate enema is a rectal solution supplied in a transparent 120 ml bottle with a rectal applicator included for administration. The solution can be used at room temperature or warmed before administration by placing the container in warm water or holding it under warm running water. Each bottle is intended for single use.

Directions for Use:

• For administration, lie down on the left side;
• Remove the rectal applicator from the protective pouch included in the package;
• Remove the threaded cap and screw the rectal applicator onto the bottle;
• Hold the bottle and gently insert the applicator into the rectum;
• Squeeze the bottle completely to administer the solution;
• A residual amount of solution remaining in the bottle after administration is normal;
• After administration, remove the applicator and discard the empty bottle;
• Remain lying down until an urgent need to evacuate occurs.

Precautions:
• Do not use in case of hypersensitivity or allergy to one or more of the ingredients;
• Do not use for prolonged treatment;
• If there are no appreciable results after a short treatment period or if constipation persists, consult a physician to exclude other underlying conditions;
• The enema is for single use only; each bottle must be used for one administration only;
• During pregnancy and breastfeeding, use is recommended only when necessary and after consultation with a physician or pharmacist.
