Applications

Instructions for Use
• Carefully open the sterile pouch containing the Fluoro-Touch Test by holding the pouch edges between the thumb and index finger and gently pulling to expose the test strip.
• Remove the test by holding it at the square end.
• Place one drop of distilled water, BSS, or local anesthetic on the colored end. The fluorescein transfers into the drop while the colored portion becomes softened and bends.
• Hold the test with the tip facing upward so that the colored drop does not fall, even when the colored end is curved.
• Tears from the lower conjunctival sac may also be used, although the procedure is irritating without an anesthetic.
• With the patient looking upward, retract the eyelid and allow the drop to fall into the lower conjunctival sac.
• Ask the patient to blink several times for homogenization.
• Perform the required determinations according to professional practice.
