Absorbable Collagen-Based Dental Hemostatic Sponge, 10 x 10 x 10 mm, 10 pcs, is a sterile, absorbable hemostatic medical device manufactured from highly purified neutral gelatin of porcine origin. Gelatin is obtained through the thermal denaturation of collagen. The porous structure of the material allows blood absorption and contact with platelets at the application site.

SCROFALON Dental can be used as an adjunctive hemostatic agent in dental and oral surgery procedures. The sponge has a compact 10 x 10 x 10 mm format and can be applied dry or saturated with sterile physiological saline solution. The material absorbs approximately 40 to 50 times its own weight, completely liquefies within approximately 3 to 5 days, and is completely absorbed within approximately 3 to 4 weeks when implanted.

Instructions for Use:
• Remove the sponge from the packaging using sterile technique.
• SCROFALON Dental is recommended for use in dry form for easier application and handling.
• Apply the sponge to the bleeding site and use the required pressure according to the amount of bleeding.
• If necessary, the sponge can be held in place with a suture.
• It can also be used saturated with sterile physiological saline solution.
• Use only the minimum amount necessary to achieve hemostasis.
• Do not resterilize or reuse the product.
