Description
Ionosit is a light-curing compomer baseliner, designed for application as a base liner beneath composite, amalgam, or ceramic restorations. Its active chemical composition compensates for the typical polymerization shrinkage of composites, minimizing the risk of cracks, microfractures, and post-operative sensitivity. Ionosit Baseliner ensures durability and reliability in clinical use. Technical characteristics: • Light-curing compomer baseliner indicated as a liner under composite, amalgam, or ceramic restorations; • Active chemistry compensates polymerization shrinkage through controlled expansion; • Radiopaque for clear radiographic visibility; • Long-term fluoride release; • Antibacterial properties due to zinc content and special monomers. Advantages: • Protects the pulp; • Prevents post-operative sensitivity; • Seals dentinal tubules; • No manual mixing required; • Continuous fluoride release; • Antibacterial properties; • Unique compensation of composite shrinkage through controlled expansion; • Fast light-curing (20 seconds); • Layer thickness: 1 mm; • Compressive strength: 130 MPa; • Elastic modulus: 6500 MPa; • Tensile strength: 34 MPa; • Radiopacity: 160% Al; • Linear expansion: 1–2%. Instructions for use: 1. Clean the tooth and remove debris with water. Moisture control is required; rubber dam isolation is not mandatory if moisture can be managed otherwise. 2. Prepare the cavity according to the general rules of adhesive procedures. Protect the pulp in deep cavities with suitable materials. 3. Apply bonding agent according to manufacturer’s instructions. 4. Ionosit Baseliner may be applied either as a conventional base liner (covering the cavity floor) or as a coating of the entire cavity. Apply with a brush or pointed instrument in a 1 mm thick layer. 5. Light-cure for at least 20 seconds with an appropriate curing light unit. Safety instructions: • For dental use only; • Keep out of reach of children. Storage and shelf life: • Store in a dry place at room temperature (15–20°C); • Do not use after expiration date. Package contents: • 1 syringe of 0.33 g Ionosit Baseliner.
