The chemical formulation is based on calcium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide, with the addition of an ethyl violet color indicator. The indicator enables visual monitoring of usage status through a color change from white to violet. Carbon dioxide absorption occurs through an exothermic chemical reaction in which hydroxides are converted into carbonates and water.

This soda lime is compatible with hospital anesthesia equipment, including systems from manufacturers such as Drager and GE, and is intended for uniform carbon dioxide absorption within anesthesia breathing circuits. The granules exhibit high mechanical hardness, contributing to reduced dust formation and efficient CO2 flow conductivity.

Moisture content is controlled within defined manufacturing limits, as absorption performance is directly influenced by humidity levels. Color change serves as an indicative parameter and must be correlated with inspired CO2 monitoring according to standard operating procedures in operating rooms.

The product is supplied in 5-liter canisters with clear labeling that includes instructions for use, color indicator information, manufacturing date, expiration date, batch number, and CE marking. The product must be stored in cool and dry places, protected from moisture and direct sunlight.
