The PRIMA absorbable surgical suture made of polyglycolic acid (PGA) USP 2 is intended for veterinary use in soft tissue closure and ligation. The filament is a synthetic braided multifilament, violet-colored for increased intraoperative visibility. The braided structure is uniformly coated with polycaprolactone and calcium stearate, which provide smooth passage through tissue and consistent handling.
