PRIMA Dental Finishing and Polishing Discs, 14 mm, White/Blue, 50 Pieces
The PRIMA 14 mm finishing and polishing discs are designed for dental procedures that require controlled surface adjustment and precise refinement of composite and restorative materials. The set includes 50 discs in blue or white, each color corresponding to a specific abrasive grade and working stage. Their ultra-thin structure provides enhanced maneuverability in interproximal areas and allows efficient operation in regions where access is restricted. The 14 mm diameter supports accurate contouring and consistent surface management during clinical procedures.
Blue discs are intended for coarse finishing and operate optimally at approximately 10000 rpm. They enable the initial preparation of surfaces before transitioning to finer steps. White discs are designed for the polishing stage and can be used at speeds up to 30000 rpm, with a recommended working time between 15 and 20 seconds. All discs are single-use, ensuring consistent abrasive performance for each procedure and preventing the accumulation of material residue.
The system is compatible with a threaded mandrel. The mandrel can be sterilized in a steam autoclave at 132°C for 20 minutes or by immersion in a 6 percent hydrogen peroxide solution, maintaining hygiene standards for the reusable component. The discs can be used for finishing and polishing composite restorations, ceramic surfaces, and glass ionomer materials, supporting structured surface preparation and final adjustments.
For consistent and predictable results, it is recommended to use all four types of discs in the complete system sequentially. The discs are compatible with the 2215-SNAP accessory, enabling stable mounting during use. For safety purposes, the discs and mandrel should not be operated with handpieces exceeding 30000 rpm, and the mandrel must never be run without a disc attached to prevent mechanical damage.
The PRIMA disc set provides a structured and reliable system for controlled dental finishing and polishing workflows, ensuring stability and precision throughout the clinical procedure.
