Description
The 450ml blood collection bag is a sterile, single-use medical device equipped with a 16G needle and CPDA-1 (Citrate Phosphate Dextrose Adenine) anticoagulant solution. It is designed for the collection, preservation, and safe handling of human blood under controlled sterile conditions, suitable for use in hospitals, blood donation centers, and certified laboratories.
The CPDA-1 solution acts as both an anticoagulant and a preservative, preventing coagulation and maintaining blood viability. Composition of CPDA-1 solution:
• Citric acid – 0.299 g;
• Sodium citrate – 2.63 g;
• Monobasic sodium phosphate – 0.222 g;
• Dextrose – 3.19 g;
• Adenine – 0.0275 g;
• Water for injection – up to 100 ml.
Adenine supports ATP maintenance in red blood cells, ensuring proper pH balance and stability. CPDA-1 is safe, effective, and allows storage of blood for up to 35 days under recommended refrigerated conditions.
