Description
Surgical suture made of absorbable Polyglactine 910 is designed for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, providing high tensile strength and a predictable absorption profile. The braided and coated multifilament structure ensures reliable handling and minimal tissue reaction. The product is supplied in USP 4/0 size, 75 cm length, with a 3/8 circle reverse cutting (RC) 19 mm needle.

This synthetic absorbable suture is composed of Polyglactine 910, a copolymer consisting of 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide, coated with poly(glycolide-co-L-lactide) and calcium stearate (<1%). The material is degraded by hydrolysis, resulting in complete absorption between 56 and 70 days. Approximately 50% of the initial tensile strength remains after 21 days. Each box contains 12 sterile sutures in hermetically sealed packaging.
